HR FOG

This regional public information campaign was formed to educate the public and restaurants owners particularly in the need to decrease the amounts of fats, oils and grease from entering the sanitary sewer system. This effort is a direct offshoot of initial efforts to revise and distribute an informational video titled, “Don’t Get Backed Up!” funded by the Directors of Utilities Committee. Originally developed and produced by the City of Virginia Beach, the video “Don’t Get Backed Up!” describes the reasons to dispose of these particular wastes properly and what can occur if you do not. Members continue to meet on an as needed basis.
